Building your online group

Overview: a lively and interactive course where delegates will learn about their role in building and managing a successful online group that will deliver results for their team, project or organisation. This session also includes practical, hands-on experience in using the Knowledge Hub collaboration platform.

Objective: by the end of this course, you will have a clear, reliable, framework for developing an online group, allowing you to create the right purpose from the start, build your core team and identify your target audience. You will also have begun an action plan to grow and develop your group.

Course outline:

The course will cover the following:

  • the concept of an online group and its lifespan

  • the roles and responsibilities within a group

  • techniques that support the successful running of a group

  • how to identify the benefits for key stakeholders

  • a community management plan to engage members

  • the importance of measuring the success and impact of a group

  • a demonstration and hands on experience of using the Knowledge Hub

Who should attend?

  • Anyone interested in facilitating a group on the Knowledge Hub.

  • Current group facilitators.

It is recommended that you attend this course with members of your team.

All attendees are advised to register on the Knowledge Hub.
