Representations on Proposed Submission Development Plan Documents

Stratford-on-Avon District Council is gearing up for the six week period for representations to be made on its Core Strategy. We would be interested to know how local authorities have dealt with representations that are not on the prescribed form. Can they be treated as not duly made, or returned to the person to be resubmitted on the form, or are we obliged to deal with them as submitted? Any advice would be very helpful.

I don't think it matters as long as you are consistent.  When we did ours last year I made sure everyone and I mean everyone either filled in a form or used our online portal, some of the statutory's were not happy with this approach but after I explained it was to ensure that comments could be attributed appropraitely with limited interepretation by the Council they came around.
