Ban of use of combustible materials in and on external walls of buildings
Currently the Government is seeking views on the ban of the use of combustible materials in and on external walls of buildings including attachments:
Review of the ban on the use of combustible materials in and on
the external walls of buildings:

Although alternative non-combustible materials could be used
instead, local authorities continue to receive Planning Applications
which include the installation of Aluminium Composite Material (ACM)
panels similar to those used as cladding on Grenfell Tower in London
where 72 people died in a fire which spread too quickly through the building.
Notwithstanding the ban of the use of metal composite panels in
and on the external walls of ALL buildings, Planning Officers are not
refusing planning permission on the grounds of the ban.
Please justify the approval of Planning Applications which
include the installation of metal composite panels.
