Can a Neighbourhood Plan amend the Green Belt? - Public forum - Planning Advisory Service (PAS)

Hi, A question to ponder: The development strategy identifies a number of specific villages each as broad locations for 10% growth (based on existing). No specific sites are identifeid becuase the strategy states that neighbourhood planning will identify and deliver on the ground. However, some villages are in the Green Belt. Can a neighbourhood plan amend the Green Belt boundary in order to meet the required level of growth (which cannot be met through limited infill)? Any thoughts greatly appreciated. Thanks, John
