In that regard authorities who have progressed plans having rejected any prospects of Green Belt release and going well below housing need (as currently measured) are going struggle it seems in the post-election planning world. We shall find out later this week, possibly tomorrow.

Hi Roger,

We had an experience similar to this in that we undertook a Reg 19 consultation on our Local Plan in 2020 with housing nos based on the proposed change to the standard method of using 2018 population data. When the government consultation response was published that they were going to stick to 2014 data, we had to revise the plan and undertook a second Reg 19 on the revisions. As this was predominantely about additional site allocations, these had previously been consulted on at Reg 18, so not wholesale new policy being introduced. I guess it will depend on the extent the plan needs to change which will help with your decision?

Realise that this is a difficult question to answer when the changes are not known but wondering whether anyone has experience of dealing with such a scenario either through further Reg 19 consultation on an addendum or leaving this for any main modifcations through examination.
