<p>Part 14 Class E states that the installation, alteration or replacement of a flue, forming part of a microgeneration biomass heating system, on a dwellinghouse or a block of flats is permitted development. My reading of this is that this would not allow for the installation of a flue on a detached domestic garage next to a dwellinghouse. Part N makes a distinction between a dwellinghouse and a building situated within the curtilage of a dwellinghouse which I think may back up my view. Has anybody got an alternative view or seen this tested at appeal?</p>
