Hi,

We are currently in the procees of replacing our aging Idox Acolaid, and I'm very interested to hear feedback around the various suppliers / options.

DEF MasterGov is one of the vendors that we are considering (still at early stages of the project).

@noorjahan.shaikh, have your local authority been using MasterGov for long? Are you able to share any insights / experiences?

Could I ask whether any Councils using Agile's planning and building control software would be willing to share their knowledge and insight around data migration and data cleansing please?

@Neal - I work for Central Bedfordshire Council (recently joined) and am working on replacing our ageing Idox Acolaid system, part of which is Planning and Section 106.

We have engaged with a number of vendors including Idox, Exacom and Arcus.
I beleive that Arcus have their own Section 106 solution, so I would be interested to learn about Reading using Exacom for S106 and Arcus (presumable for planning).

Did one come before the other, or maybe there was a strategic decision to go with two vendors?

Replacing Idox Acolaid - options & approach

I have recently joined Central Bedfordshire Council, working as a Systems Business Analyst and have been tasked with replacing the council's Idox Acolaid platform which has been in place for ~20 years.

At CBC, Acolaid is utilized across 17 service areas, indicating a broad scope of application. Our intention is to implement a phased approach over the next 18 to 24 months to gradually transition away from Acolaid.

Our focus will initially be on Planning, followed by Building Control, and then Public Protection.

I am keen to learn from other local authorities about their experiences, particularly regarding:

Vendor and solution selection
Previous usage of Acolaid
Approach taken - big bang or phased rollout, and associated timelines
Lessons learned throughout the process.

I'd like to mention that this is my first role within the public sector, and I am currently gaining knowledge in Planning, Building Control, and Public Protection, which is all quite new to me.

Are you able to share any insights as to why you wouldn't recommend Tascomi/Idox Cloud?

We are looking to replace our existing Idox Acolaid platform and am keen to hear about the experiences (both good and bad) that are others have had.

In Liverpool we have Tascomi / Idox Cloud. We would not recommend it.
