Dads are for making you feel safe. Grandads are for Fun. Directors are paternal they are in charge, in control, giving directions and instructions, having high expectations and can be demanding. Chief executive/leaders are more fun. Their wisdom and experience give them a calmness or is it they don’t worry because the day to day responsibility is with Directors? They are more relaxed, seen it all before no need to panic. They are indulgent , their behaviour can be a bit inappropriate on occasions even bizarre. They tell unfunny stories. They can remember events in great detail going back years but can be a bit vague on what was said and agreed last week.
All dads and grandads are not the same. Young grandads are energetic and ambitious. Some older dads can be a bit stuffy but also relaxed, reassuring and supportive. Some grandads can be kindly, some stern but so can dads. You don’t spend as much time with grandad so dad has to do most of the heavy lifting. Which is why dads tend to say,”No” whilst grandads like to say. Yes”.
Which is why grandads are more fun.
