Family Nurse Partnership: A Family Nurse's Perspective: 10 Year Anniversary (2021)
This publication reflects on the first 10 years of the FNP programme in Scotland from a family nurse’s perspective and was published on the 24th March 2021. It celebrates the 10 year anniversary of the programme in Scotland and the World Health Organisation “year of the nurse 2020”. The report’s publication was also timed to mark 5 thousand clients graduating from the programme.
The publication gathered stories from 164 clients, 108 family nurses and 20 teams across Scotland.
It reflects the real-life experience of being a family nurse, in their own words:
"Working with young parents with very young children can be magical. Witnessing a relationship forming between a parent and a child is a privilege. Observing a young parent bloom from adolescence to adulthood is remarkable. And graduating a client who no longer requires you in their life feels like the best reward in the world."
