Published in 2019, the report provides an annual overview of the North East Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). This involves looking at how the area’s economy is changing over time. The report has been prepared partially to serve as a resource for partners to inform and support their decision making. The report also positions the North East for future opportunities, including those arising from the national Industrial Strategy.

The overall performance of the North East economy is introduced along with an update on the Strategic Economic Plan (SEP) targets and programmes of delivery and finally, the report assesses the North East’s competitiveness across a range of different dimensions.
