Published in August 2019, the Department for Transport’s Access to Transport and Life Opportunities Report presents the findings from a study on how access to transport affects the life opportunities and wellbeing of people living in England. The Report reveals that access to public and private transport has positive impacts on life opportunities including access to services and social participation, and personal car access particularly plays an important role in accessing employment.
