Published in 2017, the Report introduces the concept of ‘New Mobility’. The term ‘New Mobility’ refers to a collection of five themes that will transform the transport systems: Automation; Connected systems and networks; Electric vehicles; Shared mobility; and Potential future business models.

The graphic heavy report details the opportunities and challenges of each of the five themes of ‘New Mobility’. The Report also asks a series of questions for consideration that need resolution over the short term for each theme. It gives recommendations for stakeholders including potential developers and investors, national and local authorities, and road network operators to best enable these technologies. While the Report does not mention the North, it includes international examples of the implementation of these five themes that can be investigated further.
