In September 2021, the National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) published their report on the role that digital and transport infrastructure has to play in supporting economic growth and quality of life in towns. The report argues that this is best achieved when infrastructure is considered as part of a long-term strategy that complements a wider place-based plan for a town.
