Consultees and standing advice
I'm looking to capture any good (or bad) examples of standing advice agreed between different services within a single tier authority, or between district and county authorities in two-tier arrangements to streamline the consultation process under a planning application.
The DMPO allows for a formal arrangement in such respects between the LPA and statutory consultees, such as the LLFA or the LHA. Within a single tier authority, this could also extend to other internal services and/or teams, such as ecologists and landscape architects.
The standing advice allows for a consultation reponse to be 'assumed' for particular types or scales of development, reducing the burden on those non-planning services in the authority/in other authorities, and we're exploring this presently.
If you're able to share any examples with me, it would be greatly appreciated. This can be on a draft or confidential basis if necessary. Many thanks in advance!
