We are in the process of rolling out a corporate document managment system and moving towards greater electronic handling of planning applications using an electronic workflow system.Our system is being developed for the council working with an external partner rather than a bespoke system.My query is to find out whether other authorities are well (and successfully)advanced on such a path ie all documentation relating to development control scanned in and are able to share any insights on how the process and the all important "culture" changes were made.
