The Public Health Research Programme has a Public Health Review Team that undertakes reviews of existing evidence. To date, the current Public Health Review Team has published reviews on topics such as gambling related harm, student mental health, housing insecurity, and is currently working to complete reviews on alcohol licensing and neighbourhood-level interventions to reduce air pollution. The team undertakes full systematic reviews, but also shorter evidence briefings and rapid reviews.

We are now looking for new topic ideas for our team to begin working on from October 2023 and would like to call on the wide range of experience that you represent for suggestions. If you have any suggestions on topic areas that impact on public and population health that you think would benefit from a systematic review or evidence briefing that would aid you in your work, please either complete this short google form by Friday 4th August.

If responding by email, in your response please consider:

  1. What is the evidence gap you have identified?

  2. Is there a particular subgroup of people you are particularly interested in?

  3. How would this knowledge aid your decision making?

  4. Is there a timescale in which this evidence would make the most impact?

 Please email responses to phr@nihr.ac.uk

Your topic suggestions will be considered by the PHR Programme Prioritisation Committee in September.
