21st Century Libraries KHub is to help councils look at, develop, and collaborate on different ways to deliver library services, and maintain or if possible improve service quality at less cost. It is run by the Local Government Association (LGA) and Arts Council England (ACE) in collaboration with local authorities.
A group with a shared interest in additional needs for education. The group brings together local authority special education needs experts with staff from 16-19 commissioning. Some community members are also involved with the LGA Additional Needs Expert Group and use this CoP to share information between themselves and with others in local authorities.
Adult Safeguarding Community of Practice Restricted935 members Local Government Association network
This Khub is open to councils and their partners to assist them to fulfil their safeguarding roles and responsibilities. It supports development and dissemination of adult safeguarding.
Alcohol Entertainment and Events Licensing Restricted680 members Local Government Association network
A forum to discuss all aspects of licensing for events, sale of alcohol, and regulation of entertainment. It offers a place for councils to share effective practice, discuss issues and develop innovative ideas.
It is restricted to council officers, councillors, and police officers using their gov.uk or equivalent e-mails.

The group will help share good practice and ROI of the Apprenticeship Levy which comes into force in April 2017.

Local government is only as vibrant, effective and relevant as the people elected to run it. We are encouraging councils, regional organisations and local parties to support the 'Be a councillor' campaign by running a local version tailored to your particular area.
CLIP Open232 members Local Government Association network
CLIP is the Central Local Information Partnership. It enables central and local government to work together to develop efficient and effective statistical information. It aims to foster communication between the different parts of central and local government so that statistical and related issues are better understood, and identify interesting examples where local and central government work together to generate useful information.
The Childhood Obesity Information Exchange is open to all councils and other stakeholders interested in sharing information and development around interventions which require a whole system approach.
The Children's Improvement Board has been informed that it will no longer be receiving funding from DfE for 2013-14. Due to this, the group will not be actively facilitated after 12 July 2013 but all the resources posted on the group will remain available and open to access.
