The govt has today announced a £1m fund for delivering differently.

If you don't have bidding fatigue you can apply for £100k to help you do something dramatically differently.

I would love for a planning authority to apply for the ability to approach consultation differently - not just the old "newspaper adverts are a waste" but the whole "we want the right to avoid consultations for classes of application or circumstances where we are confident it achieves nothing". In that way you could send a planner to a site with a book of permissions and issue a ticket for simple work there-and-then.

If anyone from these parts is interested I'd be pleased to offer whatever help we can provide.
