	&lt;p data-end="267" data-start="173"&gt;Document the extra workload and escalate it through your Chief Planner and portfolio member.&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;p data-end="349" data-start="270"&gt;Raise it through &lt;strong data-end="294" data-start="287"&gt;LGA&lt;/strong&gt;, which has stronger influence on “unfunded burdens.”&lt;/p&gt;
	&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li data-end="444" data-start="350"&gt;
	&lt;p data-end="444" data-start="352"&gt;Press &lt;strong data-end="366" data-start="358"&gt;RTPI&lt;/strong&gt; via regional networks and direct policy contacts to take a public position.&lt;/p&gt;
	&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li data-end="542" data-start="445"&gt;
	&lt;p data-end="542" data-start="447"&gt;Update local validation requirements so &lt;strong data-end="501" data-start="487"&gt;developers&lt;/strong&gt; must provide full assessments, not LPAs.&lt;/p&gt;

    <summary type="html">&lt;p&gt;Was in this webinar too. Asked similar question in terms of support we can expect from NE and it was not addressed. I thought this government were also trying to smooth the path for planning when it came to environmental constraints to deliver their 1.5m homes. This added layer seems like it will create another delay to issuing those precious permissions&amp;nbsp;while the new requirements settle in.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</summary>

&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.gov.uk/guidance/air-pollution-and-development-advice-for-local-authorities"&gt;Air pollution and development: advice for local authorities - GOV.UK&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Not impressed that LPA planners are being dumped on again. NE gave a very poor respons when asked how this will help deliver 1.5m homes. NE said it will help them stop having to do repetitive consultation responses. Well that's nice for them. It will at least publish the advice they are working to for developers to access. But depsite one representative saying all the calculations will be for the developer, this is not what the advice says. No mention is made of who is responsible. Under the Hab Regs, the LPA is always responsible as the competent authority for LPA applications. No additional time given to LPAs to do this extra work as usual.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Just another nail in the perfomance coffin. How do we push back? Where is the RTPI in all of this?&lt;/p&gt;</summary>
