The space ship was called The Dark Star
The ships computer notices during an electrical storm the bomb bay doors have opend and the nuclear bomb count down program activated by its on board AI. We then hear the ships computer instruct the bomb to return to its bay and the bomb's AI insist it has revived the activation signal. The computer states that they are in an emergency situation and the activation signal is an error. The AI reluctantly returns the bomb to its bay. On board emergency over and the bomb again insists it received the activation signal and will not be dissuaded by the ships computer. The captain intervenes and enters a philosophical discussion with the bomb asking it how it knows it received a signal, in fact how does it knows it exists. The bomb withdraws to think about that.
Life on board the ship returns to normal.
The bomb bay doors open ,the bomb lowers. Uttering the words ,” let there be light”. The boom explodes destroying the ship and all those aboard.
AI is smart enough to disagree and debate but not to see beyond the parameters of its programming.
