Trust,Loyalty and Respect
You’re not at your computer where are you? The use of Bosswear technology to check up on employees is just the latest example of trust or lack of it between managers and employees. So does your organisation have trust issues or is it just you?
It’s not you If the feedback is over critical,”not good enough” rather or”you’re almost there”
supreme effort is recognised but qualified by we will have to work even harder next year communication from senior management is on a need to know -it’s clear they don’t think you need to know. debate is closed down not opend up -for fear it will be negative criticism or the expression of concerns about decisions is taken as personal dis loyalty. managers take credit for work of others it’s better to be seen as a hard worker than a worker with ideas and opinions
If it’s the culture within the organisation then HR will encourage those at the top to address the issues pointing out that the leaderships efforts to transform the organisation will be severely hampered with out high levels of trust.
It may be you If you abuse the system - claim your sick when it’s a hangover, are ‘“laxed “ about how you fill-in your mileage claim or “ borrow” office equipment.
take credit for the work of others
slag of the boss to any one who will listen
regularly fail to deliver pieces of work on time
always have excuses for not doing what you were asked to do
moan about the organisation especially to partner agencies
pretend you’re working when you’re not.
If it is you then HR will advise closer monitoring, regular detailed feedback, challenging any incidents of making unprofessional comments and keeping detailed note for use in subsequent disciplinary hearings.
