They have the best stadium in the country and they are the sixteenth richest in the world, all down to the business acumen and sound financial management of one man.
They should be considered a success story but there’re not. He should be a popular and admired leader but he is not. The reason, success in the world of football is not measured in profitability but in trophies and league championships.

In many organisations success is not about profit. It is about sound financial management and business acumen and popularity. Local Authorities are a case example the leader of a well run authority with a business like approach and a balanced budget can still suffer at the hands of voters who consider success to be measured in filling pot holds, emptying bins and keeping libraries open, not to mention stopping parents from killing their children or people with mental health issues killing themselves.

So some sort of balance must be struck between leading a well run, financially well managed organisation and meeting the expectations of supporters/ public. New ways of generating income must be sort,  efficiency / cost saving's must be made and maybe a few risks need to be taken around investments. And maybe ambitions need to be dampened down.

Drive too hard, expect too much and the constant pressure will take its toll on players/employees. High levels of absenteeism, high turnover and stressed out under performing employees/ players can undermine any organisation , damaging results ultimately causing a loss of confidence in the leader.
