Brighton and Hove City Council have developed a data sharing agreement (DSA) to support the sharing of data across councils in relation to local government reorganisation (LGR) and devolution.

The document was developed by the council’s Legal Services Team to support both the devolution and LGR programmes. The scope of the document does not cover personal data. The council has shared this with the LGA to help support other councils who may also need to produce something similar. The document is being shared for information purposes only, and any local authorities using the document to help produce their own DSA should take the usual steps necessary to ensure their own legal and data protection colleagues are satisfied with the content.
