Published in May 2016, this report discusses and compares the educational attainment of the North in comparison to the rest of the country, mainly London, and thereby reasserts the importance of education to addressing imbalances between the North and South East.

The report highlights seven key lessons for policymakers with heavy use of graphs to illustrate the spatial imbalance in attainment from preschool to secondary school.
