Description: This report is the fifth in a series of annual reports which use National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) data to examine the changes in children’s body mass index (BMI) that have taken place since 2006/07. It summarises changes in prevalence of obesity and excess weight, mean BMI (adjusted for age) and changes across the BMI distribution. Analysis has also been conducted to examine changes by level of socioeconomic deprivation and by ethnic group.
