Morning all

We are an open group so are quite vulnerable to spammers - it has been getting worse in the last few days.

Our various basecamps have largely replaced the KHub, although we restrict it to those with a .gov email address. Anyone care passionately enough to keep this place going too?

What do you mean by "various basecamps"?  I thought the Khub was the main hub for everyone to use?  Unless I missed something...

Ditto what Ian said - basecamps?

Ah. The short version is that PAS use a system called basecamp to run our projects - it's an online thing and we are almost entirely a remote team these days.

Starting with BNG a few years ago, we opened up new basecamps to council officers. We now run about 6 with varying levels of success and engagement. Some are quite general (eg local plan leaders) and others are quite specific (we have one on benchmarking local fees).

You can see more under the networks section here it's all been slightly organic and has grown like topsy. It's on my long list of things to do properly one day - including (probably) shutting the KHub down and shifting the basecamps to something ultimately more suitable.

Networks are useful on a particular topic but I don't think they replace the ability to post questions on this network on any topic to get the benefit of others experience and views.

I agree with Jenny - although it could make sense to cut/trim the number of different categories in the forum and just leave a more general forum
