There seems to be a general perception (encouraged by misinformation
spread across the internet by companies selling units) that the
installation of an external air conditioning unit is covered by the
exemption afforded to heat pumps (https://www.planningportal.co.uk/info/200130/common_projects/27/heat_pumps/2).
Very plainly they're not, but there's precious little to be found on
most LA websites about them, and the false rumour lingers on.
They are starting to spring up, but very few applications, I suspect,
are being made. I'd appreciate views on how applications are viewed,
and whether there's much enforcement going on outside Conservation Areas?
