Live-work units, use class and contribution towards housing/emp targets. - Public forum - Planning Advisory Service (PAS)

I understand that live/work units are considered 'sui generis'. But can they count towards: 1) LPA's housing targets, or 2) LPA's employment floorspace targets, or 3) both of above? Any advice welcome, particularly examples based on practical application. Thanks
