Case study

Summary:
Southend-on-Sea City Council (SCC) is a Unitary Local Authority located in Southend-on-Sea in Essex with a population of just under 200,000.
During the Covid-19 pandemic the Council designed an initiative, to increase the vaccination uptake, by designing a service around engaging communities, with the lowest recorded percentages of vaccinations.
Utilising the Council’s Community Engagement Teams networks, connections and relationships, SCC created family pop-up vaccine clinics, taken into local community halls and centres, supported by the School immunisation team.
