The Carbon Trust's calculator is a tool is designed to calculate organisational emissions for small to medium-sized enterprises and businesses. The calculator includes Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, following Greenhouse Gas Protocol Guidance.

The calculator cannot give a complete overview of business emissions, but it considers the most common emitters: the tool requires details of fuel and energy consumption, and top ups made to air conditioning units within the last 12 months.
