So John Snow is prepared to give up his position as King of the North
in order to form an alliance which he believes is their best chance of
survival. But those loyal followers who crowned him are not happy
about having a foreign queen imposed over them as an absolute monarch.
It was ever thus. To the smaller partner organisation the merger is a
take over. And mergers often fail to realise there promise because
loyalty remains with the old order.
