Comparable Financial Data - Workshop to build a vision

Building on the LeGSB survey, and lastweek's workshop ( with DCLG, LGA, CiPFA, ProClass, Companies House, and esd-Toolkit ), we are now ready to bring together interested Local Authorities to work up a vision for the ideas that have emerged can be applied.

In particular we will look at

  • Which Information is more useful as Data than as a Document?
  • What common Classifications, Identifiers, and Codes can be consistently applied?
  • How can comparability be acheived with minimal effort and maximum gain?

I am running a doodle to find the best convenient times for people to take part – so please do go to to let me know when would be good for you.  This will be in Central London; DCLG will be providing sandwiches, tea and coffee.
