Reading Climate Festival presents "Climate for electric cars?"

  • What’s it like to drive an electric car?

  • Are they really more environmentally friendly?

  • Can our electricity system cope?

  • And is it cheaper to run?

These are some of the questions we hope to answer during this session.

Tony Cowling is a sustainability expert with a PhD in Chemistry and founder of several environmental groups including the Reading Hydro Project, with over ten years of experience driving electric cars.

Anthony Simpson has an MSc in Renewable Energy and Sustainability, and has been working in the field of electric vehicles for over 4 years, including researching the environmental impacts, and developing electric vehicle smart charging services.
