Volunteering with APM – opportunities for everyone webinar

Volunteering with APM – opportunities for everyone webinar

Starting 07 June 2022 12:30 through to 07 June 2022 13:30

As the chartered body for the project profession, APM relies on the expertise and commitment of its volunteer community for the development and promotion of project, programme and portfolio management. This includes supporting wide-ranging activities for the benefit of individuals, organisations and society including events, publications and product development. The APM volunteering strategy aims to widen participation and the impact of volunteering with APM by highlighting the wide range of activities available.

Join Ewelina Kruk, who will talk about her experiences of volunteering with APM, and all the different roles she has had so far, while maintain a busy career.

What does volunteering mean to you?

Enlist, offer, present oneself, chip in, sign up. These are exactly what volunteering is: a fantastic opportunity to step into a role which you may not be able to do otherwise, meet people you would not have met otherwise, think and discuss things that you would not have discussed otherwise!

Volunteering is a land of firsts if you want it to be!

  • If you think you do not have the experience, ignore that thought now
  • If you think you have not been with the APM long enough, ignore that thought now
  • If you have a passion for volunteering, do not ignore that thought
  • If you have a passion for the profession, do not ignore that thought.

Ewelina will also talk about:

  • How she presented herself, in order to chip in
  • What her drivers and motivations were for volunteering
  • How she has benefited from making the investment
  • What opportunities are available to you and how you can get involved.

As part of this session, we will highlight a current opportunity, open to APM members, to join a Specific Interest Group (SIG) or branch committee. An opportunity that only comes around once a year, so don’t miss it!
