Health and Wellbeing Policy News (Version 1.16)

Uploaded by Adrian Barker, 13/08/16 15:09
This is a spreadsheet with health and wellbeing policy news items and weblinks to the original sources. It goes back to July 2015, but currently has the filter set to just show the latest batch of items (28 November-4th December). I'd be very interested in any comments on whether people think this is of any use.

I found this very useful indeed Adrian, will it be updated/shared on a regular basis?

That's a good question Alex. I've actually been doing the update for five years, sending it out to an email group and posting on my website. I started putting it in a database in 2015, which enables outputs in different forms, including this spreadsheet and started putting it on Khub last year. The trouble is, it's time consuming (15-20 hours a week) and there are other things I'd rather spend my time on. But I find it difficult to give up! The ideal would be for it to be produced jointly by a wider community, as some sort of wiki, but as well as the people organisation it would need the online infrastructure, ideally a relational database. I haven't the expertise to set that all up, but would be happy to work with others who have. So, yes, it'll continue for the time being, but I can't guarantee for how long!

I'm afraid I will not be producing these after next week (the end of April 2017). I've been doing them for over five years (though only posting on KHub for the last couple) and it's taking up too much time, which I'd rather be spending on other things. I'd hoped it could be taken up as a community resource, to be produced collaboratively, but there doesn't seem to be any interest in that (if anyone wants to take up that suggestion, I'd be happy to help).
