Webinar: Psychological First Aid in emergencies

This webinar focused on Psychological First Aid training during the coronavirus (COVID19) outbreak in England.

Psychological First Aid is the globally recommended training for supporting people during emergencies. PFA is a straightforward way of delivering psychosocial care in the immediate aftermath of emergencies, including infectious disease outbreaks.

The webinar provided an overview of the principles, evidence and practice of PFA from people who have been involved in its development and use internationally and nationally. We also launched a new PFA eLearning module developed by PHE and partners in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. This webinar was an opportunity to discuss how PFA can be used as a local approach.
