The coronavirus outbreak has highlighted how integral mental health is to our wider health and wellbeing and the range of risk and protective factors that underpin and influence our psychosocial wellbeing.

New data releases, in relation to young people’s mental health and wellbeing both during and before the Coronavirus pandemic, highlight particularly worrying trends for young people age 17 and over.

This webinar will:
• explore what more can be done from a prevention perspective to protect and promote young people’s mental wellbeing before poor outcomes start to manifest
• highlight insight including from young people themselves about the building blocks for safeguarding positive mental wellbeing
• highlight local prevention practices aimed at improving mental health and wellbeing outcomes of young people, including examples from the Further Education sector.

Who should attend?

Suggested attendees include those working to improve young people’s mental health and wellbeing. This might be from a range of sectors spanning Local Authorities – particularly public health and community settings; Education – particularly Further Education, VCSE sector – particularly youth; Health and Social Care teams, frontline public-sector staff, community leaders, and groups.
