The project used the principles of Outcome Based Accountability (OBA), also know as Results Based Accountability (RBA) within a multi-agency context across three aspects of the work of the Local Safeguarding Children's Board. The project used the principles of Outcome Based Accountability (OBA) within a multi-agency context across three aspects of the work of the LSCB: Development of a library of key performance indicators for safeguarding children and young people A process for participation and engagement with children and young people who experience safeguarding Measuring Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) effectiveness The project aimed to use OBA processes to help create knowledge around LSCB effectiveness and help members make decisions about future action. The project had identified a key data development agenda as being the voice of children and young people within the safeguarding process and therefore the project also aimed to address this by considering how best to engage and consult with children and young people being placed on the child protection register to ensure their views are considered and develop a tool to enable this.
