Going Carbon Neutral Stirling (GCNS) is an exemplar project of the Scottish Government and Big Lottery and, over four years, it has engaged over 11,000 people in reducing their carbon footprint. GCNS has worked with a range of organisations from grassroots community groups and schools and to local businesses, churches and the University. They have also worked in close partnership with Stirling Council to facilitate change and influence policy and decision-making. As well as engaging community groups on bespoke carbon reduction action plans the project has also successfully run a number of projects and campaigns including Cycle Stirling, Energise Stirling and Low Carbon Alliance.

On the 20th of April the GCNS project team are holding a one day seminar to share with you the results, achievements and key learning from the project. A project overview in the morning will give you a flavour of GCNS activity over the past three years and this will be followed by interactive seminars which will share learning and insights on specific aspects of the projects from tried and tested methods of engagement including the technique of 'cold calling' to effective partnership working and also using innovative ideas to reach target audiences. This day will be useful to any community group tackling climate change and aims to share, and hopefully inspire you, with lots of useful insights and tips.

Places are free but limited so to book your place now please contact Emily Harvey at emily.harvey@ksbscotland.org.uk and she will send you a detailed agenda and seminar booking form. The CCF may be able to cover your travel expenses so at the time of booking please mention to Emily if you will require this support.
