High Speed 2: is it really worth it?

The evening debate, on Wednesday 18th September at 6pm, will ask the question 'HS2 - is it really worth it?' addressing the impacts, positive and negative, for London.

Toby Smith, award winning reportage photographer, will present a photo journal of the route around London.

Ralph Smyth, CPRE National's Senior Transport Campaigner, will also be presenting CPRE's online maps of the HS2 route.

The debate will be chaired by Cynthia Jenkins, CPRE London Vice Chair. The debate panellists are:

Murad Qureshi, Chair of the London Assembly's Environment Committee
Clinton Leeks, Director of External & Parliamentary Relations, HS2 ltd
Cllr Peter Braithwaite, Shadow member for Transport & HS2, Camden Council
Michael Colella, Transport for London and HS2 Interface

CPRE London will hold our AGM after the debate and there will be a drinks reception in the roof garden.
