Measuring neighbourhood liveability

Events - Public

Starting 29 Apr 2014 - 16:00 through to 29 Apr 2014 - 18:31

A special CPRE London and Commonplace event on 29 April, as part of Green Sky Thinking Week 2014.

CPRE London has been researching the question of neighbourhood liveability, as part of our Campaign for a Liveable London. The campaign is seeking people-centred solutions to the London housing crisis and we’ve been reviewing a number of different types of housing developments across London. As part of that process we’re working with Commonplace – an online tool for residents and local users to assess and suggest ways to improve their neighbourhood.

Meeting outside 70-75 Cowcross Street, this event will take people on a tour of Brewhouse Yard (EC1) to test out the ‘Commonplace’ tool (brewhouseyard.commonplace.is) and then bring them back to The Gallery at Cowcross Street to share the aims and initial findings of the Liveable London campaign.

Mike Saunders from Commonplace will present the tool and how it can contribute to enhancing neighbourhoods. CPRE London will share the initial findings and recommendations emerging from our neighbourhood liveability review and consultation.
