• the realities of urban flooding highlighted in 2012 -13 and the lessons emerging from these events
• the backdrop of institutional change over the last year and those planned in the coming years
• to highlight the importance of mapping and planning as a basis for delivery of schemes and projects

To highlight practical examples of good practice from practitioners on planning and delivery of schemes to manage surface water flooding

To look at the challenges moving forward in particular:

• mapping surface water flooding
• investment opportunities of PR14 for more partnership working
• delivery of surface water projects using a range of measures
• gearing funding to better meet the specific needs of surface water flooding
