Guests of Honour: Dr Jane Martin, Local Government Ombudsman and Chair, Commission for Local Administration in England and senior speaker confirmed from Department for Communities and Local Government

Attendees will consider latest thinking on public service delivery, following the rollout of the Our Place! Programme, and the piloting of Community Budgets. Discussion will also be informed by the Communities and Local Government Select Committee's enquiry into Community Budgets and the publication of the Government's subsequent response. Further discussion will examine innovative solutions to housing supply and how best to support the local economy.

With the passing of the Local Audit and Accountability Act, and the publishing of the Local Government Transparency Code 2014, the seminar will also focus on Local Government policy in the lead up to the General Election, with discussion on best practice in scrutinising council decision-making, and next steps for increasing awareness and access to services.
