The campaign is aimed at raising the awareness of the dangers of DNP for young people, bodybuilders and slimming communities.

We are particularly seeking the support of local authorities, influential celebrities, high-profile tweeters, personal trainers, parents, other government departments, NHS/PHE divisions and enforcement agencies including the police.

 

Campaign details

The campaign will consist of:

· an emailed bulletin to gym chains on 9 October

· a science blog by the Agency’s Head of Chemical Risk Assessment on the effects of DNP and what it does to the body on 9 October http://ow.ly/pBRlv

· a web story reiterating our advice and asking people to join in with the campaign 21 October www.food.gov.uk/news-updates/news/2013/oct/dnp (link will not work until 21 October)

· 5 days of tweets to raise awareness of the dangers of using the hashtag #DNPKills during 21-25 October

 

To further the reach of these urgent messages, we are keen to involve as many partners as possible.
