LeGSB & LGA Information Standards in Public Services forum

Events - Public

Starting 25 Sep 2014 - 10:30 through to 25 Sep 2014 - 17:00

This event will bring together these stakeholders and the wider information management community to:

- Understand why this is so important
- Share what is working and the lessons that can be learnt.
- Agree common barriers and propose solutions.
- Explore tools and techniques such as LG Inform Plus
- Engage with colleagues across central and local government, the NHS and other relevant agencies

LeGSB supports work on information standards for several Government Departments and Local Authorities including on welfare reform, troubled families, planning, smart cities and community assets.

The current registered audience of approximately 35 people are largely all working in this area on projects within local public service organisations, running cross sector initiatives or activities within Government departments or programmes. Representatives from 14 councils are attending plus DCLG, DWP, the Health & Social Care Information Centre, Dept for Education and Cabinet Office.

REGISTRATION

Places are available on a first come first served basis, however a waiting list is operating and we will make every endeavour to meet demand. This event is only open to public sector employees and is free to attend. If there is high demand we will ask that no more than 2 people per organisation attend.

The nearest tube station is Westminster and it is a 5 minute walk past the Houses of Parliament to the venue.
