Commercialisation in regulatory services

Events - Public

Starting 16 Jun 2015 - 11:30 through to 16 Jun 2015 - 16:30

Regulatory services are a vital component of councils’ broader public protection work, but have experienced significant budget cuts as a result of overall cuts to local government funding. New models are needed to ensure the sustainability of public protection services in the years to come, and many councils are therefore exploring the scope for income generation through commercial services provided to businesses and others. This conference will consider the specific opportunities and challenges associated with commercialisation in regulatory services.
