The aim of this course is to: provide officers working at small ports (air and sea) with an overview of imported food official controls to ensure that effective arrangements are in place for imported food control at all points of entry in the UK.
 
This course will provide delegates with: 
 
•    An overview of imported food legislation.
•    Q&A opportunities for small ports.
•    Service planning, policies and procedures with the key imported food considerations.
•    Information that LAs with a point of entry should obtain and keep up to date.
•    Information on monitoring returns.
•    Sampling imported food.
