We have joined forces with the monthly business magazine Credit Today, to stage this year’s annual LACEF members conference.

Credit Today will be running its own annual Collections and Debt Sale and Purchase conference in Manchester on November 18, and we have decided to join forces and run our event alongside.

The joint conferences at The Midland Hotel are expected to attract an audience of more than 450.

LACEF chairman Barrie Minney, senior enforcement manager at Brighton & Hove City Council, said: “We are pleased to be working with the Credit Today team. They have shown real enthusiasm for working on the event and, as the areas of public and commercial collections move ever closer, I and the LACEF Executive Committee believe that members will really benefit from understanding and seeing more about how the commercial sector achieves ‘best practice’ in collections.”

* Now in its 18th year, LACEF has a membership approaching 1000 members from over 220 local authorities and national government departments. It is one of the biggest government forums on the public sector KnowledgeHub platform. It regularly tops the monthly league table for activity out of 10,000 groups. It has built a reputation on assisting fellow local authority staff on best practice, legal questions and assisting government consultations.
