It will be mandatory to report known cases of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) on girls under 18 to the police, from October 2015. This new mandatory reporting requirement for all regulated teachers, healthcare and social care professionals is one of several introduced by the Serious Crime Act 2015, to help tackle FGM across England and Wales.

Are you and your team ready?
This critical one-day conference organised by the new National FGM Centre, a partnership of Barnardo's and the LGA and funded by the Department for Education,
will help clarify the new duties for regulated professionals.

Hear from speakers including:
• Minister for Preventing Abuse and Exploitation Karen Bradley MP (Home Office)

National Police Chiefs' Council lead for FGM, Commander Mak Chishty

National CPS Lead for FGM, Pam Bowen
• Subject matter experts, including
psychotherapist and leading anti-FGM campaigner Leyla Hussein

Join us on Tuesday 20th October in central London to help end FGM.
