National Audit Office and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for West Mercia

Current resource constraints emphasise the need to know what victims want and need, identify approaches that can best deliver and act in those instances where delivery doesn't meet expectation.  In addition, strong collaborations and a whole system approach that is acutely responsive to the voice of the victim are ever more critical to achieve best value from increasingly small pockets of funding.

This seminar will share the outcomes of a year-long cross sector Academy learning group which benefitted from a broad professional representation of highly skilled individuals from England, Scotland and Wales. Members of the group will offer their thinking on commissioning for victims and discuss how to be better commissioners and more importantly how to be better commissioners together. During the session the group will cover wide ranging topics such as devolution, working in partnership, Scottish public social partnerships, contract management and measuring success.
